I am a clinical psychologist with a psychotherapy practice in San Rafael, CA in Marin County. I know that choosing a therapist is a very personal experience. I offer a brief phone consultation to answer any questions you have about my background, therapy style, or therapy in general, or we can set up an initial session to see if this is the right fit for you.



PRACTICE INFORMATION





My approach to therapy focuses on finding solutions to current life stressors, developing coping skills to deal with things you might be struggling with. I will support you in your efforts to make changes that will improve your life and overall functioning. I have experience helping people with depression, anxiety, communication, parenting, relationship concerns, stress management, life transitions, and more. I work with individuals and couples using primarily a cognitive-behavioral approach to therapy. I have experience working with both adolescents and adults. I am supportive and active in therapy sessions. Once we start working together I am open to seeing you more or less frequently than the traditional once per week framework of therapy if that is necessary in order for you to participate in therapy. I will provide appropriate community referrals if needed in order to increase support toward reaching your goals.





PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE





I receved my Psy.D. (Doctorate of Psychology) from California School of Professional Psychology/Alliant University in December 2000. Since that time I have worked at various outpatient clinics, agencies, and in private practice with both adults and adolescents. Some of my experience includes helping people with depression, anxiety, post-partum coping/depression, relationships problems, improving communication, stress management, life transition issues, parenting challenges, and multiple struggles that adolescents may be dealing with.
